Angela Gordon, 47, has worked in the graphic, web and print industry since 1998. She designs and manages bespoke, high quality funeral stationery for clients all over the UK. Originally from Gloucestershire, she now lives and works in London.
HOW I GOT HERE
‘Coming from a small city community, I have designed Funeral Order of Service for my friends and family for many years for their bereavements.’
‘So, as time went on, I found that I was extremely busy with this venture entering into a small regular business. I took the plunge to create a complete personal service for Funeral Stationery which is now second to none.’

MY CREATIVE SPACE
‘I mainly work from home, although, I can work anywhere. Everything is created and completed using my trusty Apple Mac which I take everywhere together with my back-up drives to ensure everything is duplicated and nothing is lost.’
‘I thoroughly enjoy creating bespoke designs for my clients, together with managing the service myself from start to finish, from concept to delivery to your door and paying personal attention to detail to ensure that the best service is implemented.’
MY WORKING DAY
‘I am most productive in the morning, after my wake-up ‘zing’ of hot fresh lemon water, and continue to be productive throughout the day. I’m on the go receiving emails from clients for amendments and ideas for their order. I implement them straight away and return the proof promptly. Final orders are sent out and I ensure deliveries are on time.
I travel to see funeral directors and other partners to enhance our business relationship.

‘In comparison to my funeral stationery competitors, my designs are very different to the conventional way pages are put together. My style has come from my inner contemporary personal preferences together with my client’s preferences with a strong use of colour.’
EDUCATION
Studied at The University of Gloucestershire and graduated in 2001 with a Bachelors Degree in Professional Media - Graphics.
